The Opportunity
Are you a qualified High Voltage Electrician with a strong commitment to safety and equipment reliability? Thiess is seeking experienced and motivated High Voltage Electrician to join our high-performing team at Olive Downs Complex.
As a key member of the Olive Downs team, you'll be responsible for maintaining our autonomous AC Electric Drive Haul Truck fleet, mobile plant equipment and site infrastructure to support safe and efficient mining operations.
As the High Voltage Electrician, you will:
- Maintain AC Electric Drive Haul Trucks (Autonomous), plant equipment and site infrastructure in accordance with Thiess maintenance systems.
- Complete general maintenance, breakdown repairs, servicing, component change-outs and statutory electrical inspections/testing.
- Source and utilise technical information from OEM manuals, technical bulletins and computer-based systems.
- Conduct inspections to maximise equipment reliability and utilisation while maintaining high housekeeping standards.
- Work safely and comply with the Site Safety Health and Management System.
About you
- Queensland Electrical Work Licence (or equivalent).
- Current LVR/CPR
- Current Standard 11.
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence.
- HV Switching certification (desirable).
- Proven experience in a similar role within mining, heavy industry or construction.
- Strong commitment to safety and Thiess values of Integrity, Accountability, Innovation and Delivery.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-focused environment with a strong attention to detail.
