The Opportunity

Are you a trade-qualified Boilermaker with strong welding and fabrication experience and a passion for maintaining large-scale mining equipment? Thiess is seeking an experienced and motivated Boilermaker to join our high-performing maintenance team at Caval Ridge Mine.

As a key member of the Caval Ridge Maintenance team, you'll play an important role in maintaining plant safely and efficiently while supporting equipment reliability and operational performance across site.

Roster: 7/7 Rotating Days & Nights | Location: Caval Ridge Mine, QLD | Employment Type: Permanent Full Time

As the Boilermaker, you will:

• Perform bucket and tray repairs, repairs and structural maintenance activities.
• Be responsible for completing structural chassis repairs on our HME fleets.
• Complete fabrication, welding, gouging and repair work to a high standard.
• Conduct inspections and complete accurate maintenance documentation to maximise equipment utilisation and reliability.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards and contribute to a safe, productive team environment.
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance crew to achieve planned maintenance

About you

• Trade Certificate in Engineering Fabrication or equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrated experience performing welding, gouging, cutting and heavy fabrication work.
• Post-trade experience within mining, heavy earthmoving or hydraulic excavator environments.
• Experience working on mobile mining equipment and heavy structural repairs.
• Current Driver's Licence (HR Licence highly regarded).
• Current Standard 11.
• Strong commitment to safety, teamwork and quality workmanship.
