The Opportunity

Thiess is seeking experienced and motivated Superintendent Maintenance GHPP to join our high-performing team at Mongolia project

As Superintendent Mechanical CHPP, you will:

• Maintain all mechanical equipment of the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP) and truck loading infrastructure to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) specifications and Thiess standards in a safe, efficient, cost effective and innovative manner.
• Help manage and advise on fixed plant maintenance work using efficient condition monitoring and equipment servicing strategies to achieve targeted service times and schedule compliance rates.
• Review and audit mechanical repairs and services to ensure compliance with the mechanical maintenance scheme.
• Assist in the provision and review of short and long term scheduled downtime projections.
• Help plan skill requirements for shut downs and down days to ensure an appropriate combination of trade qualified and experienced personnel are available.
• Ensure trucking incentive targets achieved within site head contract parameters Zero penalties
• Plant availability at or above target each month. Nett Plant availability => 95%
• TLO load rate 4250tph

About you

• Bachelor's degree from Mining Engineering/Metallurgy with 10 years' experience in fixed plant operational and gold analysis in mining industry
• Good leadership, managerial and organization skills
• Familiar with gold handling, gold processing and gold analysis
• Computer literate
• Good Communication in English, both written and oral
• Good teamwork, and interpersonal skills among peers and subordinate is a must
• Having sound record of safety performance, management practices at Supervisory level and Environmental awareness
