We're seeking an experienced Senior Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Advisor to lead the development and implementation of our global DEI strategy, helping shape a culture of belonging across our operations in Australia, Asia and the Americas
Reporting to the Group Manager Social Performance, you'll partner with leaders across the business to embed inclusive practices into how we attract, develop and retain talent while supporting our broader ESG commitments and business objectives.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the development and delivery of Thiess' global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategy.
- Partner with senior leaders to embed DEI into workforce planning, talent pipelines and business operations.
- Drive initiatives that improve workforce diversity, including gender equity, Indigenous employment and pathways for underrepresented groups.
- Support and enhance Employee Resource Groups and key inclusion initiatives including Allies, All-Abilities and Women networks.
- Develop meaningful metrics, reporting frameworks and insights to measure impact and inform continuous improvement.
- Build strong partnerships with regional teams, clients, industry associations and community organisations.
- Represent Thiess in client engagements and external forums on DEI matters.
- Contribute to a culture that prioritises inclusion, belonging and sustainable business outcomes
What you'll need to succeed
You are a passionate and strategic DEI professional who can influence at all levels of an organisation and translate vision into practical outcomes. You thrive in complex environments, build trusted relationships and are motivated by creating meaningful, lasting change.
You'll bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Social Science or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in senior DEI, diversity, inclusion or social impact roles.
- Strong knowledge of cultural safety, gender equity, Indigenous engagement and inclusive workplace practices.
- Experience developing and implementing strategies, policies and programs across complex organisations.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
- Strong analytical, project management and reporting capabilities.
- Experience within mining, construction, engineering or similarly operational industries will be highly regarded.
